Heat was nonexistent, with the AC unit continuously blowing cold air, making for a chilly stay. The bedding was less than ideal, featuring a prominent hole in the bedspread, and minimal coverings forced us to stay bundled up under sheets. There were no toiletries like a coffee maker or telephone, which left a distinct feeling of unpreparedness, especially without a phone to reach anyone in case of emergencies. The lack of a bathtub stopper crushed my hopes for a relaxing soak, requiring me to improvise unsuccessfully. Waking up disturbed by noise outside was another distraction, especially hearing someone sick nearby. Additionally, I noticed issues like burnt-out bathroom lights, a leaky toilet, and frayed towels that contributed to a sense of neglect.
